  • The workouts use Interval Timing. Interval timing is the standard across the swimming community and I strongly recommend to learn how to manage your workout with interval timing. Learn everything about it here.

Who will get the most benefits from these workouts

  • The workouts will work great for Lap Swimmers, Master Swimmers and Triathletes. Some details to consider:
    • Lap Swimmers. Depending on your level of swimming experience and time available, you will need to adapt the daily workout using my guidelines, just click here and learn how.
    • Master Swimmer. These workouts will keep you in shape to the point you can be confident in signing up to a meet or two during the year! I am a Masters swimmer and holy cow they work!
    • Triathletes. Depending on your goals. All of the daily workouts will have footnotes for Triathletes so please read them. The main guidance is the replacement of other strokes by just Freestyle in the Main Set. I am a Triathlete and I have competitive triathletes in my team, so follow this guide.
      • Sprint, Olympic and Half-Ironman Triathlon. These workouts are perfect. You will notice time to time in the daily workouts there is a specific section for Sprint, Olympic, and Half-Ironman Triathlon athletes. If you see that section, it means you have to follow that workout on that specific day. The difference is that Triathletes will have specific long-distance workouts Microcycles.
      • Ironman Triathlon. All of my workouts, without re-adaptations, are based on per-workout daily distances between 3000 and 3500 meters/yards (Just use your pool length as guidance and don’t overcomplicate things). This distance might be too short to confidently approach the 3,800m of a full Ironman. However, the structure of the workouts will work great if you re-adapt the daily workout by adding, instead of reducing volume (Which is what I recommend to people with less time or swimming experience).
